EXCELLENTVerified Classic & Comfortable Venetian stay Clean, comfortable & authentic Venetian guest house. Me and my partner stayed here from 18th September - 22nd September 2025, and I have no complaints at all. Mattia greeted us the moment we arrived and gave us a map of Venice, highlighting recommended restaurants & routes - this was so helpful considering we’ve never been before! He is generally there for a few hours most mornings - a very friendly face who is very helpful and supportive. Every morning breakfast is served 08:30 - 10:30 and has a lovely variety of food. The staff make coffee/tea for you and support you with whatever your needs are, they’re also really friendly. The kitchen is there for you to use if needed - we really appreciated this. The outside garden area is perfect and comfortable, ideal when you’ve been walking around all day and don’t want to spend too much time in your room. The room we stayed in (with external bathroom - just across the hall, we could lock the bathroom) had a lovely view of the water. It was very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. We did find it unusual that we didn’t get clean towels every day (they’re renewed every 3 days) but this is just a difference from the UK, and is very environmentally friendly, so we actually didn’t mind this at all! The location is brilliant. It’s not in a really busy location so it’s lovely and quiet, but it’s also not too far from the lively streets of Cannaregio. We thought the price of the stay was super reasonable for what you get. The host is friendly and engaging and provided a wealth of information about things to do and see while there. Rooms are simply appointed but clean and comfortable. Well, it was her recommendation that led us to spend our vacation in Venice at this beautiful guest house! I want to keep my praise short and sweet, which is quite a challenge because our stay was incredible in such a stunning city. The charming little hotel is located in the Cannaregio district. Every morning began with an excellent and lovingly prepared breakfast, setting the tone for a relaxing day. After a day of exploring the lagoon city, we always looked forward to returning to this peaceful haven in the evening. The owner is always attentive and eager to share great tips for discovering the city off the beaten path, helping us fall in love with Venice even more. Ponte Chiodo is highly recommended, and we will definitely not be visiting for the last time! Quaint entry Garden, Sweet barista who makes special artsy cappuccinos, perfect location. You can see the canal through your window and the historic ponte chiodo Bridge. The owner comes after the wonderful breakfast every morning to meet with you personally if you have any questions for your daily travel plans with local, not touristy suggestions. No wonder we met other quests who stay here many times. Il gestore è attento ai dettagli. Zona tranquilla con minimarket e ristoranti ad un passo e da cui si raggiungono stazione e p.zza S. Marco velocemente. This quaint authentic Venetian B&B is located next to a quiet canal a stones throw from away from the tourist hub. We really enjoyed watching the gondolas and school children paddle by at the end of the day from our window. The room we stayed in #3 was clean, comfortable, and a nice size. The lovely breakfasts were served in a beautiful courtyard garden complete with daily cappuccinos. If you are gluten intolerant, no worry, because plenty of gluten free options are offered. We loved our host Mattia's sense of humor and appreciated his guidance on how to navigate in Venice. If we return to Venice there is no doubt that Ponte Chiodo will be the place we will stay along with all of the other returning guests. Thank you Mattia for making our stay in Venice perfect!

I really enjoyed my stay at the guesthouse; Mattia is a very polite and attentive host who makes sure you have everything you need. For example, when I booked, I asked if it was possible to have vegan options for breakfast, and I found soy yogurt and almond milk waiting for me. Mattia also gave me lots of tips on where to find plant-based options in Venice and which areas are less crowded. Even during check-out, which was a bit stressful due to time constraints (entirely my fault!), Mattia remained understanding — grazie mille for that! The guesthouse’s location is ideal, just a 15-minute walk from the main train station and easily accessible by water bus. The room was very clean and cozy, with a view of the garden, and the bathroom was equipped with towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, and shower gel. There was even a small minibar fridge where I could store small, perishable items I’d bought. Nous étions à Venise pour fêter l’anniversaire de mon époux et nous avons séjourné dans ce B&B du 12 au 14 mars 2026. Le matin du 13 mars, jour de son anniversaire, en quittant la terrasse après le petit‑déjeuner, l’hôte a exigé de manière agressive que mon époux présente sa pièce d’identité immédiatement (alors que celle‑ci se trouvait dans la chambre). Il nous a demandé de le suivre à l’intérieur, près de son bureau au rez‑de‑chaussée, puis a insisté pour photographier la pièce d’identité de mon époux et la mienne. Lors de la prise de photo, il a interpellé mon époux en lui demandant s’il était « un terroriste » et a laissé entendre, par ce geste, qu’on verra si mon époux sera interpellé par la police. Le 14 mars 2026 au matin, lors du petit déjeuner en terrasse, il y avait notamment un couple francophone. L’hôte ne leur a pas demandé de façon insistante de montrer leurs pièces immédiatement, ni ne les a accusé d’être des terroristes ; il leur a calmement proposé d’effectuer le check‑in après leur petit déjeuner. Nous avons constaté le contraste dans l’accueil et nous nous sommes sentis discriminés. Nous avons été profondément bouleversés par cette violence verbale ; cela a gâché notre séjour à Venise. I had a very nice stay. First of all, the directions on the website are valuable because Google Maps does lead you to the wrong side of the Rio di San Felice. My room was rather small but perfectly all right.
