Guesthouse in Venice with breakfast and garden
The name of our Guesthouse ‘3749 Ponte Chiodo’ comes from the bridge that, unique and the last of its kind in the city, marks the main entrance to the property. It is a very ancient bridge, distinguished—like the earliest bridges in Venice—by the absence of railings. ‘Chiodo’ is the name of the noble Venetian family that once owned the bridge.
The only other—and much more famous—example of this type can be found on the island of Torcello, where you can admire the well-known ‘Devil’s Bridge’, considered the twin of Venice’s ‘Ponte Chiodo’!

The number 3749 is the civic number of the Guesthouse – the address – and this is one of the numerous peculiarities of our town. Venetian addresses don’t follow with the street where they are located but the numeration of the areas (sestrieri). The Guesthouse “3749 Ponte Chiodo” is the building number 3749 of Sestriere di Cannaregio.
